:: GATE 2015 Online Registration ::
GATE 2015 Online Registration is necessary to be done by the candidate to begin with the process of applying for GATE 2015 Exam. It is mandatory to provide all the details correctly in the GATE 2015 Online Registration else candidature can be cancelled at any stage. GATE 2015 Registration can be done on the official website of zonal IIT from 1 September 2014 onwards. No offline or physical forms would be released. GATE 2015 Online Registration Process
Stage 1
- Access the official website of GATE 2015 or zonal IIT website and open the link to register.
- Enter email ID, mobile number, GOAPS password.
- Choose the GOAPS password during enrollment.
- Once registered, GOAPS ID will be sent to candidate’s email ID.
- Fill the asked details – personal, address and communication and eligibility.
- Enter the options of GATE paper and exam centers.
- Upload scanned images of photo and sign for GATE 2015 Online Registration.
- Mention the ID proof to be carried to the exam hall.
Stage 2
- Proceed to fill the GATE 2015 Application Form. You may modify the details at this stage.
- Upload the asked soft copy of photo, signature and Certificate from Principal (duly signed and stamped by the Principal).
- Choose the suitable payment option for GATE 2015 Web Based Registration.
- Check the preview of GATE 2015 Online Registration Form before proceeding to pay the GATE 2015 fees.
- On being satisfied, press the “Confirm and Final Submit” button.
GATE 2015 Application Form Fees and Payment
- Other Candidates (General/OBC) – Rs.1500
- Male Candidates (General/OBC) – Rs.1500
- Women Candidates of any category – Rs.750
- SC/ST/PwD Category Candidates – Rs.750
Note: On making payment by credit/debit card or net-banking online, enter card number, password, CVV number or net-banking username and password respectively. These details will be kept confidential and payment is safe and secured from any cyber-trespassing.
Choose to make the payment through online mode by paying via any of these available modes for Online Registration of GATE 2015:
- Bank Debit Card/Credit Card, Net Banking – enter the details of card, password, CVV number and pay the fees.
- E-challan facility – download the challan and pay the fees in any CBS branch of SBI or Axis Bank.
- SBI I-collect or Axis Bank I-Connect – pay through customized payment gateway of SBI or Axis Bank.
Note: Additional service charges will be levied as per the bank rules from where the money is being transferred.
GATE 2015 Application Form – Photo Specifications
- Photo must be clicked after 1 July 2014.
- It must be sharp, clear, contrasting and colored.
- Only light background must be used in the photo.
- Face should occupy about 50% of the area, and with a full-face view looking into the camera directly.
- Remove spectacles for the photo, even if you normally wear it.
- Image must be in JPG format and on a standard 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm print.
- Maximum pixel resolution for JPEG: 640 × 480 (0.3 Mega pixel) and Minimum pixel resolution for JPEG: 320 × 240.
GATE 2015 Application Form – Signature Specifications
- Draw a rectangular box of size 2.5 cm×6 cm on an A4 white paper.
- Mark signature with black or dark blue ink pen carefully within this box.
- Scan the image using a scanner, and get the image cropped to the box.
- Only JPEG image formats will be accepted for GATE 2015 Online Registration
- Maximum pixel resolution for the image is 800 × 300 and the minimum pixel resolution for the image is 400 × 150.
