:: UPTU CAMPUS STRIKE FOR CARRY OVER AND INCREASE OFFEES ::

Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) is going on with strikes since so many days. On one side, where there is a strike for the conduction of special carry over examinations for the students of UPTU SECOND YEAR STUDENTS and UPTU THIRD YEAR STUDENTS. While, on the other side, there is a strike for the request for reverting back of increase in fees for all the students of Galgotia college. The university is facing these strikes at the time when new students are taking admission at the campus. This not only decrease the chances of students taking admission but also give bad insight to the newly admitted students.

The strike was being carried out with the support of ABVP (Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad) . The students with the support of ABVP arrived at the university campus and tried to place their request to the vice chancellor of UPTU.

The V.C. of UPTU first denied meeting students and to hear their request.

The leader of ABVP along with the students didnt lose hope and keep on requesting with the aim of taking solution of these problems. Later, VC decided to meet students. When students started telling their problems, he exclaimed that there is too sunny outside. (V.C. should understand that the students were also kept on staying outside in the hot sun). He then asked some initiators to come aside in the campus and place their problems. When students were trying to go inside, the gatekeepers didnt allow them. When the conditions became more worse, lathicharge was done on students.

Although Lathicharge was done on the students, the V.C. later agreed to hear the problems of students.

The committe of seven members placed their problems in front of the vice chancellor. The Vice chancellor listen to the problems of the students. The decision or solution is yet to be recieved from the university.
