The students of UPTU protested at UPTU, Noida campus for the conduction of special carry over exams for students. The circular was posted few days ago which stated that the UPTU SPECIAL CARRY OVER EXAMINATIONS 2013-14 FOR FIRST & FINAL YEAR STUDENTS will be
conducted in the month of august. These carry over exams are generally conducted to save the Year Back of students. The students having year back or PCP status in first year or the students having backlogs in their final year examinations can appear for these special carry over examinations. There is no such provision of carrying out special carry over examinations for the students of second year and third year of Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Thus , if a student having fail status in second or third year have to re-appear for the whole year of study. The students are considering it unfaithful since equal opportunity should be provided to all the students.

The students protested on Tuesday (22nd July, 2014) to request for the conduction of these exams for second and third year students. The students arrived in large number and protested . They expected some good response from the university but the university didn't show much interest to this request.

The university officials didn't respond to the request. The students were asked to stop their protest. With the arrival of policemen at the campus, the students had to leave.
