UPTU HONOURARY DOCTORATE DEGREE has been declined by AKHILESH YADAV recently. The university Uttar Pradesh Technical University has decided to award the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh by doctorate degree. The latest report claims that the minister has denied the degree saying that he has already received this degree in the past. The chief minister Akhilesh Yadav would become the minister with highest degree if he would be accepting the degree.
An official statement from the Chief Minister’s Office said:”Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has taken cognizance of publishing/telecast of news reports that the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) had decided to bestow him with a doctorate and expressed his gratitude for it. He said that he had been given a similar degree in the past and keeping that in mind, taking another degree would be unfair.”

The university decided to reward the minister but he refused. In response to this, UPTU VICE CHANCELLOR RK KHANDAL replied that we can only offer degrees but it depends on the individual to take or not to take it.
