UPTU 1st year students year back rule

1. When student got 1000 marks but having backs 5 subjects then he/she promote next year
2. When students got 1000 marks but having 6 backs then year back
3. When students got below 1000 marks or having 5 subject back then also year back



UPTU 2nd/3rd/4th year students rule

1. When students got 1000 marks but having 4 backs then he/she promote next year
2. When students got 1000 marks but got 5 back then year back
3. When students got 1000 below marks but having 4 back then he/she also promote to next year

UPTU Result Related Important Terms  

Pass : If a student gets full credits in all the subjects including theory and practical, then the student is declared as Pass.

PCP : Pass with carry papers. This status is alloted and student is allowed to be promoted to next year. This status is provided when the student has scored minimum of 24 or more credits in theory subjects and minimum of 8 credits in practical subjects. GP Credits will not be counted in the above calculation. 

PCP- A : This status is provided to students and is promoted to next academic year. This is provisional. Means the student in this case have to score 26 or more credits in theory subjects and 8 or more credits in practical subjects by appearing in carryover examinations. In case a student will fail to fulfl this condition, the PCP-A status shall be changed to Fail.

Fail : If this status is alloted in your result, it means that you have to re appear for the examinations in same academic year and you will not be promoted to next year. This is also known as year back
