:: AKTU Give 5 Days To See Carry Over Exam Copies ::
After the ruckus that was created by
students of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University (AKTU) on Wednesday wherein they
assaulted a teacher evaluating their answer sheets, the university
administration has now scheduled five days for students to see their copies.
Beginning Monday, students from various colleges under AKTU, who had appeared for the special carry over exam, may go to the university to see their answer scripts. From November 23 to November 27, days have been segregated for various colleges of the state. The university administration has been ordered to do so by technical education minister M F Kidwai, after a detailed meeting with the university administration.
Officials at the university said passing the failed students under pressure mounted by them will not be possible. The university, however, claimed it is not against getting answer copies re-evaluated or by different teachers if the students want so. As the university goes digital from next semester, such incidents will not occur, it was claimed. From next semester, answer copies of all students will be made available online, accessible with their roll numbers.
After the Wednesday incident, the university had
also lodged a complaint with the Jankipuram police station but no FIR has been
registered until now. "For FIR to be lodged, a proper medical test is
required of the complainant and we have not received that," said Ram
Vishal Yadav, station officer, Jankipuram police station.Beginning Monday, students from various colleges under AKTU, who had appeared for the special carry over exam, may go to the university to see their answer scripts.
